This was due to the consistently dry, warm weatherwe enjoyed all summer in Marlborough, as well as the lighter crop fromthe cooler weather over the flowering period. The whole growing seasonwas incredibly dry with the region only receiving around 40% of its annualrainfall, putting pressure on the water supply within the region. Fortunately, all our vineyards came through the season very well with no impact onquality due to the low soil moisture levels experienced. The resulting fruitwas harvested in excellent condition, with the vineyards producing incrediblyclean, pristine fruit. The resulting wine is showing the wonderful typicitythat our Seaview and Wairau vineyards are known for highly aromatic fruitflavours of passionfruit and guava, vibrancy, purity and minerality.WINEMAKINGWinemaker: Tamra Kelly-WashingtonHarvest Date: 2nd - 11th April 2015Winemaking Analysis: Alc 13% pH 3.28 TA 7.2 RS 4.0g/lCarefully selected parcels of Sauvignon Blanc from our Seaview and WairauValley Vineyards were used to craft this wine. The parcels were harvestedindividually over a period of nine days. At the winery, the fruit was crushed, destemmed and gently pressed. The juice was cold settled for 72 hours, afterwhich the clear juice was racked off, followed by a long cool fermentation instainless steel to capture and enhance the fruit flavours. Each of the individualparcels were fermented separately using a range of selected yeasts, after whichthe wine was blended, stabilised and filtered in preparation for bottling.
